Carla’s passion for yoga began in Canada in 2011 as a daily stretch and warm up for snowboarding. She found by practicing yoga, every aspect of her life became more fluid, and everything began to fall into place. According to Carla, “The more I practiced yoga, the calmer and more connected I felt, and everything in my life began to improve. I became less reactive to outside influences, and felt like I had finally gotten out of my head and back into my body.” Carla completed her first Yoga teacher training in 2013 and hasn’t stopped training, teaching, learning and growing since. Carla’s goal in every class is to help her students build mind-body connection, to help everyone feel and function as best they can, for as long as they can. As a 500hr registered yoga teacher with over 2000 hours of yoga teacher trainings and workshops, and her Bachelor of Health Science in Acupuncture qualification, Carla draws on her knowledge of energy, anatomy and alignment to ensure a safe and holistic practice for longevity. Her classes may challenge you. Not just physically, but also mentally. Learning to let go of expectation and break through the barriers of doubts and fears the mind often creates, allows the body the freedom to move with ease. When we release expectation from the mind and allow the breath to be our guide, we find ourselves doing and experiencing things we never thought possible.

Balance Flow - Yoga

Move with us from one posture to the next, connecting movement and breath, creating a steady internal rhythm for the practice. Our Flow classes are designed to cultivate heat in the body with creative sequences and a strong focus on the power of breath awareness. Expect Pranayama (breathing techniques) and Meditation practices included.

Balance Tone - Hot Pilates

Balance Tone is a HOT Pilates class designed to make you sweat while building lean muscle. The LED heather create an extra element designed to build resilience and mental strength among our practitioners. The classes will be made up of slightly faster movements and be more physically demanding while maintaining focus on key muscle groups. The combination of these elements teaches our students to tap into and harness confidence & strength from within themselves, while building a strong body.

Balance Breathwork & Meditation

Time to heal and nurture the mind & body. The first part of the class focuses on breathwork as a tool to anchor the mind into the present moment and connect with the body. The second part of the classes focuses on meditation – experience a state of stillness that flows with ease, leaving you feeling at peace with yourself and the world around you. You will float out of this class!

Balance Chill - Restorative Yoga

An absolute must for our high impact lifestyles. This practice slows everything down and aims for us to tap into our parasympathetic nervous system to nourish the body and mind. The practise is designed to calm the mind, enhance mobility, adjust posture and free up any restrictions. Balance chill sessions are designed for all of those with active lifestyles, professions or hobbies whether you are surfer, weight lifter, nurse or beach wanderer our chill class is for you.
